Sterkfontein Caves, Maropeng & Rhino and Lion Park

An immersive tour of the Sterkfontein Caves which are world-famous for their fossil finds and are a popular visitor destination. The most notable discoveries in the caves, including the world-famous fossils of Mrs Ples and Little Foot, the latter being an almost complete Australopithecus skeleton dating back more than three million years. Here you will explore these caves first hand and pay a visit to the local display and exhibitor section at Maropeng Visitors Centre.

After our visit we include a relaxing lunch and proceed to the local Rhino and Lion Nature reserve where we will be spoilt with some fantastic game viewing opportunities. Here we will take our time in search of the wide range of animals that inhabit this area and hope to spot some of the big five too.
